Research interests
I currently work as a General Practitioner (GP) and NIHR Clinical Research Fellow.
I have special interests in:
- Quality and Safety Improvement in Primary Care - I co-chair the Society for Academic Primary Care (SAPC) special interest group in this field.
- The discrepancies between what is spoken during healthcare encounters and medical records.
- The communication and documentation of 'safety-netting advice', such as "if your cough is no better in 3 weeks or you start coughing up blood you need to see your GP or call 111".
- Natural Language Processing (NLP) and the use of generative artificial intelligence in healthcare.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions about:
- My research
- Research collaboration / ideas
- The interface between university based research and commercial product evaluation
