Nate is a Senior Research Associate in the School of Policy Studies. He currently works with Dr Natasha Mulvihill on the Powerful Perpetrators project, which critically examines regulatory and administrative justice mechanisms relating to sexual misconduct and abuse by high-status professionals in the UK. The project explores cases involving abuse of individuals seeking support services, workplace misconduct affecting colleagues, and abuse within intimate partner relationships.

His research interests and expertise include domestic abuse, victimology, and victim engagement with the criminal justice system. Nate has extensive experience applying mixed methods approaches to the analysis of police and criminal justice data, with particular expertise in R programming for quantitative data analysis and natural language processing. Over the past decade, he has delivered research and analytical work across a range of academic, policing, and public sector organisations through numerous collaborative projects and secondments.
