Biography
After graduating with a Master's in Middle Eastern Studies at Sciences Po Grenoble, I lived in SouthWest Asia for several years, first deepening my knowledge of Arabic and later pursuing a PhD at Sciences Po Bordeaux and at the French Institute of the Near East (Institut francais du Proche-Orient, Ifpo). Through my PhD I brought together political ecology and political economy to develop an alternative understanding of Jordanian agriculture, in relation to the economy - and more specifically the market -, while re-embedding agriculture in its multiple ecological dimensions.
I am currently a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Bristol as part of the GloNeW project, which focuses on forms of "New Water" such as desalination and treated wastewater. In this context, I am particularly interested in the turnover of Morocco.
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Bristol, working on the ERC/UKRI-funded GloNeW project. Within this framework, my focus has shifted from agriculture to water, and from South West Asia to North Africa. The project analyses several case studies across the Global South, primarily in Africa, and my work specifically focuses on the case of Morocco.

Research interests
I am a researcher interested in water and agriculture from a political ecology and political economy perspective. I specialise on the South West Asia and North Africa region (SWANA), particularly on Jordan and Morocco.
