I have worked in Higher Education for around 20 years, beginning my career in PGR administration and progressing through a range of roles to the Head of Operations for Clinical Sciences in the Medical School. I have led multi-disciplinary teams including education, research, projects and technical staff. I have spent the last decade in the Medical School leading my teams through a variety of changes with a particular focus on inclusive, agile and sustainable practice.

I have co-led a Research Cultures project to understand the experiences of professional services staff who research, working alongside colleagues to improve process and practice in this area. This has included establishing a Bristol Professional Services Network for those interested in researching in their practice, as well as co-developing training materials.

In 2024 I was appointed as a member of the People and Diversity Advisory Panel for the National REF to represent Professional Services staff.
