Biography
Current University of Bristol projects Grace contributes to: 1. Fit4HeartOp study- An NIHR Programme Grant to co-develop, evaluate, and implement personalised prehabilitation intervention for cardiac surgery patients.
2. DIPP Study | Centre for Academic Primary Care | University of Bristol Improving the Diagnostic accuracy of referrals for Papilloedema
Recently completed projects at The University of Bristol: A nested process evaluation and implementation study: DEFINE — Oxford University - Primary Care Clinical Trials Unit - a trial of the addition of an asthma breathing test intervention in primary care reviews (papers in preparation).
-A qualitative study evaluating a digital intervention to improve adolescent sleep and mental health: Sleep Well Study | Centre for Academic Child Health | University of Bristol (papers under review).
Research interests
Grace's research focusses on developing and evaluating complex interventions in healthcare practice and public health. She has experience of working with those with a vested interest, to increase the likelihood of sustainable implementation of interventions. Grace has experience of research across a range of topics including respiratory health, tobacco policy, public response to emerging nicotine delivery products and policy, asthma management, management of the indoor environment (including aeroallergens, cigarette smoke and vapour exposures) ophthalmology and adolescent sleep. Due to her background as an allied health professional, she is especially keen to produce research with impact for policy and practice to benefit patients and healthcare professionals.
