Research interests
I am a nephrologist in Bristol. My previous research focussed on the impact of health literacy on access to treatment for people with kidney disease, specifically access to kidney transplantation.
Current work includes investigation, through realist methodology, of interventions aiming to promote implementation of evidence-based treatments in chronic kidney disease. I am also co-CI on a Bristol-based cohort study examining the relationship between changes in kidney function during pregnancy and adverse pregnancy outcomes.
I am co-director of the Bristol Health Partners Kidney Disease Health integration team, which aims to improve the lives of people in Bristol with kidney disease through research, service improvement and community projects.
