Research interests
My primary research interests are in Critical Security Studies, Critical Theory (particularly, but not limited to, thinkers associated with the Frankfurt School), and technology and international relations. Within this I focus on how narratives of technological development are employed within the issue areas of nuclear security, ballistic missile defence, outer space security, and Earth observation. I am also keenly interested in debates on planetary (in)security and crisis and am open to considering supervision of doctoral research projects in any of the areas listed above.
