Biography
In 2014 he returned to academia and commenced a PhD in Seismology funded through Bristol University Microseismic Projects (BUMPS) under the supervised of Prof J-M Kendall. After completion in 2018 with a thesis titled ‘Microseismology: Characteristics, Magnitudes and Shallow Crustal Effects’, he held several post-doctorial positions, which included BGS Research Fellow and UK manager for the DigiMon project. He currently holds a position as a technical specialist within the geophysics group, and has a continuing interest in the interaction small earthquakes have with shallow subsurface. He has publishing scientific papers on magnitude estimations, earthquake source properties of microseismicity and seismic characterisation of engineered slopes.
