Research interests
- Bio/chemical sensors on the basis of nitride FET structures and their electro-optical charaterisation.
- Apllications of nano-optics and plasmonics for spectroscopy and bio/chemical sensor devices. Tip Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy.
- Application of micro-Raman spectroscopy for thermal management and device characterisation in high-frequency high-power HFETs (heterojunction field effect transistors) and LEDs (light emitting diodes) on basis of III-V nitrides.
- 3D thermal modelling of high power transistor devices and packaging: physics of novel materails and interfaces.
- Optical spectroscopy on wide band-gap III-V nitride semiconductors. Raman and PL characterizations of defects, stress/strain, composition and carrier concentration in GaN, AlN and alloys.
- Spectroscopy instrumentation and IR imaging.
