Research interests
Alisha joined the Centre for Academic Primary Care (CAPC) in September 2023. Her role is to support and advise researchers to help build their capacity to engage and involve the public in research.
Alisha draws on twenty years’ experience of supporting public involvement in decision-making in education, research, and health and care services.
Career highlights include:
- putting the voices of children and young people with cancer at the heart of decision-making through the creation of the UK-wide Voice programme at Young Lives vs Cancer.
- Co-developing the Public Involvement in Research Impact Toolkit (PIRIT) with members of the public
Patient and public involvement and engagement ambitions:
To develop partnerships with the public so that diverse views and interests shape research that everyone can benefit from.
