Research interests
Dr. Bryer's research interests include accounting and organizing in alternative organizations, sustainability, Indigenous practices, and action research/engagement. She has done fieldwork with cooperatives and social movements in Argentina, Spain, the USA, and the UK.
Dr Bryer's work is published in leading journals in the field including Accounting Organizations and Society, Critical Perspectives on Accounting, Accounting Auditing and Accountability Journal, and Organization Studies. She is an editor for British Accounting Review and Critical Perspectives on Accounting. She co-chairs the Sustainability Committee at the Business School of the University of Bristol. To mobilize the impact of her work, she regularly organizes and facilitates workshops with cooperatives and community organizations.
