Honorary Degrees Committee

The Honorary Degrees Committee, chaired by the Vice-Chancellor, meets once a year. Its role is to receive and, where appropriate, to endorse nominations of individuals considered worthy to receive honorary degrees and honorary fellowships, which are ultimately approved by Senate and Council. The Committee also gives preliminary consideration to nominations for national honours from within the University.

Nominations for recipients of honorary degree can be made by completing either a Honorary degree nomination form (word version) (Office document, 59kB), or a Honorary degree nomination form (PDF, 61kB). Please email completed nominated forms to honorary-degrees@bristol.ac.uk or post them to the Events team, Communications and Marketing, 31 Great George Street, BS1 5QD.
