Rooms and activities
We have 4 separate playrooms set in two converted two-storey Victorian Houses with a nice sized garden. We also have a 'secret garden' and outdoor nature enclosure.
We have a video intercom door system, parents are asked to press the buzzer and wait for a senior member of the team to let you in. It is paramount that you do not let in any other adults or children.
The children are organised into 4 age groups:
- the Baby Room (3 months to about 15 months)
- the Toddler Room (from 1 to 2 years old)
- the Cub Room (2 to 3 years old)
- the Lion Room (3 to 4 years old)
- the Tiger Room (3 to 4 years old and Creative room)
Our principle aim is that the children are happy, relaxed and content while at the nursery.
They are given every opportunity to join in a range of stimulating and enjoyable activities according to their age group and individual needs. Each room has their own daily routine.
Our children come from diverse backgrounds. All cultures, beliefs and religions are respected and observed with interest and by taking part in various celebrations throughout the year.
Key person
In order to ensure continuity of care each child is allocated a member of staff as a key person. This member of staff will to settle your child into the nursery, they will build a relationship with yourselves and your child.
They are available to discuss any concerns you may have, i.e. dietary needs, toilet training, any aspect of the child's individual needs and his or her physical, emotional and intellectual wellbeing at any time.
We also have a buddy system, so in the event of your child's keyperson not being in the buddy will take the role. Key person approah (PDF, 167kB)
