| Part description |
Richard interacts with the technician throughout the performance. Richard provides him with visual signals (such as the 'T' hand gesture, which signifies 'tape') . Such explicit cues replace the role of a cue sheet. Richard wants the audience to read these signals as both functional and gestural. He points out that the technician does a lot during the performance, including operating lights, sound and video equipment. It is also possible that Richard himself shares the audio-visual technician's role by operating the video projector for parts of the performance. |
