Professor di Bernardo elected VP of largest IEEE society

Professor Mario di Bernardo, a member of the Bristol Centre for Complexity Sciences, has been elected Vice President of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society.

Mario di Bernardo, Professor of Nonlinear Systems and Control in the Department of Engineering Mathematics and member of the Bristol Centre for Complexity Sciences, has been elected Vice President of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society for a two-year term starting in January 2011.

The IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) is the world's largest and most prestigious professional association for the advancement of technology. It has over 395,000 members in more than 160 countries. The Circuits and Systems Society is one of the largest among the 38 societies of the IEEE, with over 9,000 members. Its mission is to foster co-operation and exchange of ideas among its members and affiliates on the theory, analysis, design, tools and implementation of circuits and systems.
