Research Impact and Engagement
Within the School of Management, Impact and Engagement mean that our research makes a real and positive difference to the world around us. Academics within the School have nurtured a broad range of close relationships and interdisciplinary networks with local, regional, national and international business, public and third sector communities. And as engagement is by definition a two-way relationship, both sides benefit.
Our engagement consists of tailored, high quality and relevant investigations through which we pursue a critical and emancipatory role for management research. And whilst we undertake work with specific individuals, organisations and institutions, our concern is also with the wider public good.
Our research activities actively influence policy and high-level decision making and positively change attitudes and behaviours towards vital social, economic, cultural and environmental issues. Our focus on developing our collaborative relationships and building on our connections means we can continue to make a positive difference and help prepare society for future challenges.
