The group identified drivers for the use of mobile devices in formal and informal learning.

Next Step is Scenario Development using the four most frequently noted trends from today:

  • Educational institutions’ flexibility in the face of rapid / unpredictable change in mobile technologies
  • Valuing informal learning, hobbies and skills  (self-directed learning) vs enforced formal learning
  • Affordable and available connectivity and hardware
  • Government policy, objectives and funding: e-strategy, Every Child Matters, Digital Divide, Regeneration

We will be looking at this in the next workshop.
