Over 100,000 specimens and archives make up the Earth Sciences Collection, and spanning over 150 years of geological, palaeontological and environmental research and education.

We are now able to share some of the information and images of our collection with the public and our research community online via our externally hosted database.

The collection database went live on World Rock Day 19th July. We will share helpful tips, walk throughs and instructions on how to search our collection most effectively in the next few months here, but in the meantime please explore by yourself using the prepopulated collection tabs or search fields. And don't forget, you are always welcome to ask our curator directly by emailing outreach-earth-sciences@bristol.ac.uk. Not all collections or specimen information are publicly available.
