We are pleased to announce a Palaeo Discussion Group Seminar by Professor Pratigya Polissar on the topic of Late Neogene vegetation and climate change on the Indian Subcontinent.
Abstract:
Dramatic changes in the climate vegetation and fauna of India and Eurasia occurred during the Neogene as part of the global establishment of grassy open ecosystems. This talk will investigate the drivers for ecosystem change on the Indian subcontinent using molecular and isotope proxies and place these results in a global context.
