Bristol Dental School was up against strong competition, but won the Fit Out / Refurbishment of the Year category. The judges commented "this project represents a significant step change for the industry, proving that taking the harder route can produce amazing results."

Bristol Dental School's new 119 dental chair clinical education facility was developed in an existing five storey office building in less than 34 months. Designed during a pandemic added additional challenges to the changes required to convert the office building into a clinical facility with specialist equipment. 

James Tubman, Senior School Manager at Bristol Dental School, was the Senior User on the project and accepted the award on behalf of the School. He said "this was an incredibly exciting project, and I'm proud to have worked with an incredible team within the Dental School and with other project managers across the University of Bristol. The difference this new facility has made to students, staff, and patients can't be understated, and we have a bright future ahead".
