The course has opened my eyes to the usefulness of these [automation and A.I.] technologies to augment synthetic chemistry.

If you are undecided in exactly which area of Synthetic Chemistry interests you, the TECS CDT is perfect for you as it helps you discover aspects of chemistry that you weren't aware of before.

The machine learning and coding aspects of the course were completely new to me, but I have quickly learnt a new coding language, as we completed an excellent course run by the University of Bristol.

Equipment like the Chemspeed robot is not commonplace in the world of university research, so it's been rewarding learning about it.

My enhanced knowledge of photochemistry is used every day for me in the lab, and I hope to use flow chemistry later in my project to optimise my synthetic methodology.

I would definitely recommend doing rotations in labs that do research in areas you have not had any experience in previously.
