Writing accessibly for a lay audience is becoming more and more important for health research and clinical professionals. But it’s an art that many find challenging.

This two hour course will teach you the fundamentals of writing for a lay audience, including:

  • Focusing on key messages
  • Putting yourself in your audience’s shoes
  • Cutting jargon and acronyms
  • Words and phrases to avoid
  • Using active language

The course will include hands on exercises and will be hosted on Zoom.
