Translating cancer research & innovation into policy and care

Hosted by Cancer Research UK and the University of Leeds

Advancements in cancer treatments and technologies hold potential to revolutionize patient care and outcomes, but the process of translating innovative research into clinical practice and policy decisions is a complex one.

This panel discussion explores how we can tackle the challenges around timely translation of new treatments and technologies for cancer into policy and care. The session will look at how high-level evidence informs international guideline, regulatory and policy decisions that ultimately determine patient treatment and care.

The session will be chaired by David Sebag-Montefiore, Professor of Clinical Oncology and Health Research.

Guest speaker and panellist: Owen Jackson - Director of Policy, Cancer Research UK
