The Prevention and Population Research Committee and the Early Detection and Diagnosis Research Committee receive a smaller percentage of applications from behavioural scientists compared to other areas under their respective remits, such as epidemiology or biomarker validation. We are aware of a perception in the community that 1. CRUK is not interested in funding behavioural research and 2. behavioural research will not be successful in receiving funding from CRUK. We have a keen interest in changing this perception and helping behavioural scientists submit more and higher quality applications to increase chances of successfully securing funding from CRUK.
The webinar will feature Committee members, Professor Kate Brain and Professor Mark Tully, alongside Professor Katie Robb who has secured CRUK funding for behavioural research.
