Hosted by Cancer Rsearch UK
An event to mark the release of CRUK's prevention research strategy, and to start building the trans-disciplinary connections that the strategy requires.
Topics to be discussed include how biological knowledge-based research and mechanistic understanding could inform a new wave of more precise preventive interventions that could reduce cancer incidence equally across society.
Speakers:
- Catherine Elliott, Cancer Research UK
- Kay-Tee Khaw, University of Cambridge
- Richard Martin, University of Bristol
- Karen Brown, University of Leicester
- David Adams, Wellcome Sanger Institute
- Gerard Evan, University of Cambridge
There will also be a structured workshop session where you'll be put into groups to discuss "What is needed to bridge discovery and population researchers to enable swifter translation of mechanistic insight to preventive interventions?".
