UKI2S – Translating complex science into successful global companies

UK Innovation and Science Seed Fund (UKI2S) are pleased to host a short seminar on spinning out and raising venture capital. This seminar is primarily aimed at senior academics, but we also actively encourage more junior academics with a keen interest in the commercialisation of research to attend. It will be an interactive session going through some of the major steps to consider before spinning out and successfully raise funds for a spin-out company. Topics covered will include: five things to consider before becoming a founder, and what investors like to see before investing.

Oliver and Hassan will be available for one-to-one office hours throughout the day. These sessions are aimed at academics who may be keen to spin out now and have questions around plans, strategy, term sheets etc, or exploring what a spin out may involve and areas to consider. If you want to sign up for one of the sessions, please contact k.kinkelin@bristol.ac.uk
