Minority Ethnic in Biology

The School of Biological Sciences is stronger thanks to our staff and students who represent a range of ethnicities. As a School, we are committed to ensure that staff and students from all backgrounds feel welcome and supported during their time here.

Report and Support

Bullying, harassment, sexual harassment, assault and discrimination are not acceptable. Students can report something anonymously or get advice through the Report and Support service.

Being Minority Ethnic in STEM

An event held by student researchers and staff at the University of Bristol on 6 February 2019, highlighted the challenges and experience of being Minority Ethnic in STEM across South West Universities. The findings of the event are outlined in the report below.

Report and Support for Staff

Stand Up Speak Out (SUSO) Advocates are part of our wider Stand Up Speak Out campaign that aims to encourage colleagues to take action against bullying, harassment and other forms of unacceptable behaviour they may experience or witness at work.
