Artist Biographies


Soprano Siân Dicker is celebrated for her rich, full-bodied voice and dramatic flair. A frequent competition winner, she has received the Singers Prize at the 2020 Royal Over-Seas League Annual Music Competition, the Oxford Lieder Young Artist Platform Award, and the Simon Sandbach Award from Garsington Opera, among other honours. A City Music Foundation Artist and Britten Pears Young Artist (2021/22), she was also featured as one of BBC Music Magazine’s “Rising Stars” in 2023.

Her recent operatic roles include Miss Jessel (The Turn of the Screw, Waterperry Opera Festival), Maƙenka (The Bartered Bride, Garsington Opera), and First Lady (The Magic Flute, English National Opera), alongside performances with the Royal Opera House in their Lost and Found project and at the Wilderness Festival.

An accomplished recitalist, Siân performs regularly with pianist Krystal Tunnicliffe across the UK and Europe, with highlights including appearances at major festivals such as Aldeburgh, Oxford Lieder, and Life Victoria Barcelona. Their recording of William Walton’s complete song collection, featuring guitarist Saki Kato, will be released by Delphian Records in 2024.

Deeply committed to community music, Siân serves as President of Wiltshire Rural Music and works extensively with Live Music Now and Britten Pears Arts, bringing interactive and accessible performances to care homes, SEND schools, and community groups across the UK.

 

British–Australian pianist Krystal Tunnicliffe is a highly regarded collaborative pianist and music educator, known for her versatility and artistry across recital, operatic, and educational settings. Performing regularly with soprano Siân Dicker, the duo has appeared at major festivals including Oxford Song, Life Victoria (Barcelona), Aldeburgh, Ryedale, and International Lied Festival Zeist, as well as on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune and at St John’s Smith Square. Their acclaimed debut recording, The Complete Songs of William Walton (Delphian Records, 2024), was praised for its expressive depth and musical sensitivity.

 A prize-winning accompanist at Melbourne’s National Liederfest and a finalist in the Maureen Lehane Awards, Krystal has also collaborated with leading artists such as Brindley Sherratt and Nicky Spence. She is a Samling Artist, Britten-Pears Young Artist, Ryedale Festival Young Artist, and Oxford Song Young Artist, and currently serves as a staff pianist at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and resident accompanist at Eton College.

Krystal studied at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and the Guildhall School, earning both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with distinction, followed by a Junior Fellowship at Guildhall. Her performing career spans prestigious venues such as Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, and Notre Dame de Paris, and includes collaborations with ensembles such as the BBC Symphony Chorus and Northern Ireland Opera.

Passionate about outreach and education, Krystal has led workshops for Glyndebourne Education, the Royal Academy of Music, Samling Academy, and the Prison Choir Project, and works regularly with youth and community choirs including the Bromley Boy Singers and Gondwana Voices.
