Offer career advice

Sign-up to Bristol Connects and volunteer as a Career Expert to support students and alumni in a way that suits you.

Register as a career e-mentor and/or volunteer at employability-focused events. Alumni can volunteer for one or both of these opportunities through Bristol Connects.

Volunteer at employability events

Throughout the year we have opportunities for alumni to get involved and volunteer their time at a range of events which support student and graduate employability. This could be digital or in-person sessions such as open days, talks or interviews. You can choose what type of events you are interested in supporting and a member of staff will then be in touch when opportunities arise.

Register as a career e-mentor

Being a career e-mentor is an easy and flexible way to help alumni and students in their career. You don't have to be an industry leader or at the top of the ladder to offer your services.

You can choose how many people to support and how you would be willing to support them, for example:

  • Giving online feedback on CVs;
  • Meeting over the phone to discuss interview techniques;
  • Exchanging messages offering career insights.
