2025 marks forty years since the decision to admit women to Wills Hall, and the arrival of the first cohort in 1985. To celebrate this important milestone, alumni from the 1984–86 years will return to Wills Hall to share their memories alongside current students and staff.
This celebratory session will feature reflections from alumni, contributions from 2024-2025 JCR President Zara Griffin-Ring and an opportunity for today’s students to ask questions.
The JCR session will be followed by a tour of Hall and lunch with students in hall. This event is organised by WHA and open to all members from the 1984–86 years — and we warmly encourage anyone interested in Hall’s history and community to attend. This will be a normal Saturday lunchtime for students in hall.
The WHA will cover the cost of lunch for anyone who was a student in Hall in the period 1984-86, with others paying a normal charge for lunch chosen (typically £10-12: most cards accepted).
Please email the Wills Hall Association if you plan at attend: wills-hall-association@bristol.ac.uk
