Join fellow Bristol graduates for an online panel discussion about their careers working in In-house Economist roles on Tuesday 9 February 2021, 1 pm - 2 pm GMT.

This online panel event will provide you with career insights from alumni working in the sector and will give you the opportunity to ask your questions to our alumni experts. Book your place to join us.

We are delighted to announce our first panellists:

Clare graduated from Bristol with a first-class honours degree in Economics & Accounting with a year of Study in Continental Europe in 2001. She joined the graduate scheme at Unilever where she completed her CIMA qualification, followed by Finance Director roles at More Than Insurance, Amazon and KFC. After a 'career pivot' in 2020, Clare now works as a Portfolio Finance Director, supporting a number of exciting small businesses who could not afford or do not require a full-time FD.

Christian graduated in BSc in Economics in 2019 and is a former EFM Committee member and Faculty of Social Sciences Employee. He is now working for the NHS as a business intelligence analyst. His current role involves analysing data to distribute resources effectively during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hannah Slaughter (BSc 2016), Economist at the Resolution Foundation
After graduating from Bristol in 2016, Hannah spent three years as an economist in the civil service, working at the Office for National Statistics, the Cabinet Office, and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. Since 2019, she has worked at the Resolution Foundation - an independent think-tank focused on improving the living standards of those on low-to-middle incomes - where she researches and publishes reports on the labour market and low pay.
