Stand side-by-side with Bristol students

Matthew, MSc Economics graduate
Jayden, MRes Health Sciences student
Gbemisola, MSci Psychology graduate

Being a student is harder than ever. But you can help open doors for students from low-income backgrounds.

Thanks to the support of Bristol’s alumni community, we can provide additional funding to students most in need. This funding helps alleviate the finacial worries that these students would have hanging over them. However, we are only able to help one in nine students who apply for a scholarship. There are still hundreds who have what it takes to succeed at Bristol who miss out.

Will you stand side-by-side with Bristol students?

Fulfil potential

Your donation could help students like Matthew realize their career ambitions.

"The Futures Scholarship is vital in guiding students from lower income backgrounds; it allows us to pursue our passions and funds the leaders and thinkers of the future." Matthew MSc Economics graduate

Smash barriers

Ongoing support removes the significant barriers that students from refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds face.

"I recently started a new job as an assistant psychologist, working with young people with eating disorders. It’s a challenging but rewarding role and every day I’m learning more about how to support young people and their families. My life is moving onwards and upwards and that’s only possible because of the scholarship I received.” Gbemisola MSci Psychology graduate

Challenge inequality

Your regular support will turn the tables on the underrepresentation of Black students that exists at every level of higher education. You’ll be helping even more Black Bristol Scholars like Jayden:

“Having the scholarship has allowed me to maximise every single opportunity… It’s inspired me to go on and do a PhD in metastatic rectal cancer. This might not have happened if it wasn’t for this scholarship because so many of the things that I was able to talk about in my PhD application, such as extra experiments I’ve done and conferences I’ve attended, have only been possible because of the funding I received.” Jayden MRes Health Sciences student

You can help Bristol students thrive on their course and beyond, supporting their health and wellbeing and helping them gain skills and experiences for their future career.
