The school benefits from a dedicated Employability Adviser to develop tailored and bespoke career development support for our students. You can take part in:
Some of our current in-school webinar topics include Preparing for Psychometric Tests, Writing Your CV and Effective Networking. Our webinars are interactive and respond to changes and trends in the labour market and recruitment processes, so you can be sure to keep up to date.
Prepare for Career Success course
A bespoke course for Postgraduate students in the school, offered online via a mixture of live delivery and self-study. This will guide you from exploring your options to researching employers and preparing applications and interviews. Tailored to students looking to work either in the UK or internationally.
The Prepare for Career Success course is also linked to the International Mentoring Scheme, a fantastic opportunity for our international students to build their networks.
Facilitated small group sessions
Available weekly, an informal setting giving you opportunity to get answers to your career development questions.
Employability activities included in your units
This includes support to excel on mentoring schemes, alumni presentations, reflective activities and the opportunity to hear from and discuss current business challenges from those working in relevant industries.
Our Careers Service provides access to a a wealth of resources to support you to explore your strengths and career interests, to gain relevant experience and to apply for the internships, placements and graduate roles you want. We also work closely with employers who offer sessions for Bristol students on a range of topics – from minority access to different sectors, to working in the green economy, to succeeding at assessment centres.

Professional Liaison Network
Our Professional Liaison Network (PLN) run initiatives and partnerships connecting you to alumni and external organisations related to your academic discipline. Their support includes:
