Bristol Futures Engagement Opportunities
A Bristol Futures Engagement Opportunity is an activity you undertake that is beneficial to you and the organisation you may be working with. There are a number of activities available across the University.
Bristol Futures engagement opportunities connect our students, the University and wider stakeholders through the sharing of knowledge, resources and skills. We achieve this through collaborating with local, national and global organisations on projects that support all students to develop key personal and professional attributes aligned to the Bristol Skills Framework.
There are several existing projects our students can engage with.
Internships and placements
There are a number of different internship opportunities available to all students across the University. Students can also source their own internships and apply for funding.
Volunteering and outreach
Develop new skills, share your own experience or simply take the chance to give back to the community. There are a number of ways for you to volunteer and get involved in community activities.
Mentoring and peer support
Becoming a mentor is a powerful way to help other people discover their own direction. Engaging fellow students in an academic or pastoral way can also help your peers make the most out of their university experience.
Student leadership and representation
Build your leadership skills whilst representing your peers on issues you are passionate about, whether inside the university or in the wider community.
Teaching and demonstrating
