Our aims
Our main goal is to increase capacity for the efficient delivery of pragmatic randomised controlled trials (RCTs) during and beyond the life of the ConDuCT-II Hub. With this in mind, the Hub comprises of four themes, that will develop novel research methods.
We will create innovative methods and implement these into feasibility studies, pilot and full RCTs in collaboration with clinicians and trialists, simultaneously demonstrating their value to clinicians and further evolving and evaluating the methods.
We will deliver our programme of training courses for researchers and trialists and support for the wider trials community. We run regional and national training courses, specialist workshops and an advisory service. We have also established ‘taster’ programmes to encourage applications for PhDs and Fellowships.
Building on our established links, we are maintaining close collaborations with other MRC Hubs for Trials Methodology Research (HTMRs), UKCRC-registered Clinical Trials Units (CTUs) and relevant groups and we are forging new links nationally and internationally.
