Join us for the first Bristol Hub for Gambling Harms Research International Interdisciplinary Colloquium.
This one-day conference will showcase gambling harms research; feature keynotes from government, lived experience and research experts from around the world; invite all participants to discuss ways of tackling gambling harms across disciplinary, practice and international boundaries; and enable rich networking.
The theme is “Building capacity in gambling harms research”, with keynotes and panel sessions reflecting the four Research Challenges of the Hub:
- Perceptions, Motivations, Decisions. What initiates harmful gambling?
- Narratives, Practice, Representation. What is the everyday practice and portrayal of gambling in social groups?
- Experience, Risk, Harm. What social and spatial inequalities exacerbate gambling harms?
- Innovation, Transition, Change. What socio-technical innovations can help combat gambling harms?
