We are offering a 6-day residential course on advanced methods for reproducible science at Cumberland Lodge in Windsor Great Park.

The course is tailored for early-career researchers and intended to raise awareness of the problem of low reproducibility across many scientific disciplines, and various methods that can be used to address this problem.

Priority will be given to BBSRC-funded early career researchers, but is open to all early career researchers subject to availability. The European College of Neuropsychopharmacology is co-sponsoring the workshop.

The cost of the workshop is £200, including accommodation and meals. Unfortunately we are unable to cover travel expenses. However a limited number of travel bursaries are available (see below).

Early career researchers interested in applying should submit a brief expression of interest (no more than 500 words), outlining their motivation for attending the course, and a brief (1 page) CV to:

Travel Bursaries

The Biotechnology & Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) are supporting this event.

For early careers researchers who are based at a UK university and are currently working on BBSRC-funded research* , the BBSRC will consider sponsoring up to 10 individuals to meet their travel costs for this training course. For those based at European universities and research institutes, equivalent support for up to 10 individuals is offered by ECNP.

• Sponsorship will be offered in the form of reimbursement of travel and subsistencecosts after meeting attendance.

• Researchers who may be eligible for BBSRC or ECNP sponsorship should register via the process defined for all meeting attendees (see above).

• Awardees will be selected taking into account the need for scientific range and researcher / institutional diversity.

• Registrants for this meeting should be prepared to meet their own attendance costs if unsuccessful.

* Defined as BBSRC-funded post-doctoral research staff with five years or less of total active research employment. BBSRC Fellows are ineligible for sponsorship as travel funding has already been awarded with the Fellowship grant.
