Interdisciplinary Research & Antimicrobial Resistance Workshop, 2-3 March 2017: Further details
31 January 2017
The Interdisciplinary Research & Antimicrobial Resistance Workshop will take place from 2pm on Thursday 2nd until 3pm on Friday 3rd March 2017 at Engineers' House, Clifton, Bristol BS8 3NB.
The aim of the workshop is to promote the development of high quality interdisciplinary research on AMR that includes one or more of the social sciences, with a particular focus on future interdisciplinary and global challenges funding opportunities.
We are inviting all participants to submit a short ‘pitch’ to potential collaborators from another discipline to work on an existing or future project or funding bid. These will be used to organise working groups on Day 2 of the workshop. To submit a pitch, please download and complete the AMR Interdisciplinary workshop pitch form (PDF, 253kB).
We welcome pitches at all stages, from existing projects which need input from another discipline, to early stage ideas that would need collaborators to formulate an interdisciplinary project. Projects must, however, include a social science component; we would therefore expect most pitches to be from social scientists seeking collaborator(s) from clinical, biological and/or life sciences, or vice versa.
Please return your completed form to us by Friday 10th February.
We currently have over 90 participants from a range of disciplines registered to attend. There will be presentations from major research teams already involved in interdisciplinary research and a series of networking and workshop sessions aimed at building future interdisciplinary collaborations.
