Athena SWAN Charter for Women in Science
In May 2008 the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology was awarded a silver award under the Athena SWAN Charter which recognises excellence in SET (science, engineering and technology) employment in higher education, with particular regard to gender equality.
Although developed to address the lack of female representation in SET disciplines, work undertaken to support the Charter principles contribute towards a more positive working environment for all. Further information and documentation can be found on the intranet SWAN page (UoB access only).
