We welcome applications from overseas students and the cultural diversity that they bring to the school.
Students who graduate in the School go on to a wide range of careers, for example academic and commercial research, medicine and veterinary science, working in non-research careers in industry, finance, media, teaching and numerous others.
The University of Bristol occupies a central position in the historic heart of Bristol. The university is located in a central precinct on the edges of Clifton, Cotham and Redland- three of the most pleasant areas of Bristol in which to live and work. We are fortunate that the university precinct combines a range of historic and modern buildings with state-of the art facilities. For more information about life in Bristol see general information.
Some groups and organisations within the University and the Students Union cater specifically for overseas students There are at least 18 societies representing overseas cultural groups and in addition many for different religions and faiths. Based in the Union, there are in total around 100 clubs and societies for just about every activity you can imagine.
The University of Bristol has an active International Centre which is concerned with overseas students. It runs an advisory service and publishes a predeparture guide for students coming to study in Bristol. As well as trips and events organised through the Student's Union societies, the International Centre runs trips and outings to some of the most interesting parts of the UK, both cities and the surrounding countryside.

The School of Physiology & Pharmacology actively encourages applications from overseas students. We find they generally do very well academically, as well as adding greatly to the educational and social experience within the school.
We recognise a wide range of qualifications that are equivalent to the grades of our A-level offers. We understand that a visit to Bristol may not be possible for applicants from overseas and so do not require applicants to visit the school. If you require any further information or to arrange a visit then please contact the admissions tutor Dr Frankie MacMillan preferably by e-mail pp-ugadmissions@bristol.ac.uk
