The School of Management hosts four academic groups:
Strategy, International Management & Business, and Entrepreneurship
Addressing challenges faced by international businesses, our group focuses on gaining and sharing knowledge of business strategy and how this is impacted by social, political and economic factors both globally and on a national level.
Operations and Management Science, Innovation & Healthcare
Tackling real world problems that have high economic, societal and environmental impacts. Addressing supply chain management, sustainability and resilience, healthcare operations, big data analytics, social media, and low carbon manufacturing.
Marketing and Consumption
Drawing on insights from across the social sciences and working with a range of stakeholders, we approach marketing as a core function of organisations and a critical academic discipline. We address the role of consumption in a changing world, confronting the social and policy challenges that it raises.
Work, Employment, Organisation and Public Policy
Our group covers power, identity, materiality and institutional and organisational change as well as different groups engaging with work organisations such as the professions, unions and other employee groups.
Our research themes are incubators to foster the latest thinking, debates, collaboration and support systems for our research.
University research institutes we work with
We work collaboratively to find innovative ways of undertaking multidisciplinary research.
