People, associates and fellows
The Director of the IAS is Professor Ralph Pite, who is also a Professor in the Department of English, and its Research Development Manager is Dr Susan Jim. Susan also looks after Bristol's participation in the Worldwide Universities Network.Professor Kathy Sykes, Professor of Sciences and Society, is also based in the IAS along with the IAS/WUN Administrative Assistant, Ms Laura Dean and our PhD student interns Ms Edwina Thorn and Ms Conny Lippert, as well as a variable range of visiting fellows (Benjamin Meaker Visiting Professors) and associates.
An Advisory Board comprising academics from all faculties assists and advises the Director, meeting three times per year. This is a crucial vehicle for the IAS to 'drill down' into the concerns and aspirations of the disciplines and schools across the University.
