Congratulations to Peter Rogers and Charlotte Hardman who have received a British Psychological Society Undergraduate Research Assistantships Award. This award enables researchers to provide an undergraduate student with 'hands-on' experience of research work during the summer vacation. The scheme is a prestigious award that marks out a student as a future researcher and potential academic.
The award will fund Claire Lancaster, a 2nd Year Psychology undergraduate, who will work on the project "Hungry for the taste: Understanding motivational and hedonic influences on food reward and consumption". Using a novel combination of methods, the project aims to answer fundamental questions about the relationships between liking, hunger and food reward, and how these factors influence our food choice and consumption.
