PhD students

The Centre carries out research and studies on many topics such as Deafhood, Sign Language, Deaf children and families, plus the application of technology (Video and e-learning). The Centre believes that there should be a partnership of Deaf and hearing researchers throughout.

We offer an MPhil and doctoral PhD programme by research.

    Language and learning for deaf children; British Sign Language; Deaf community and culture; acquired hearing loss and special education; video telecommunications.

    Deaf communities; history and culture; minority cultures; anthropology, cultural studies; post-colonialism.
