Centre for Deaf Studies sign language and bilingual policy in practice

The Centre is unique in that it has published and puts into a practice a sign language and bilingual policy. All our meetings are conducted in BSL and we have a commitment to provide access to all students in BSL and in English.

We also publish and follow a range of other policies which you can read here.

There is also a unique Student Charter which sets out our commitment to quality of service in our dealings with our students.

All our work is governed by ethical principles and we have devoted a section of our website to explain and provide the materials for the conduct of ethical research in Deaf Studies.
