Scam warning

The Global Conference on Religion and Philosophy [Aug 23-25]

The University of Bristol has been made aware of a website for an event called The Global Conference on Religion and Philosophy supposedly being held at the University of Bristol from 23-25 August 2024.

There is no such conference, and the website is a scam. 

The University has reported the website to Action Fraud.  If you have registered for a place on this scam conference, please report this to Action Fraud.

We are naturally very disappointed that someone has used our branding, name and reputation and the names and likenesses of some of our personnel and those from other institutions to commit a fraud. 

We sincerely hope that as few people as possible have been induced to register. If you have bought a ticket, please do not travel to Bristol as we can confirm that this conference does not exist and is not taking place.
