Based at Southmead Hospital, the Academic Rheumatology Group is headed by Prof Emma Clark.

We have a number of clinical, epidemiological, genetic and translational research programmes, aimed at improving understanding and management of the two most common age-related musculoskeletal conditions, namely osteoporosis and osteoartritis.  We are affiliated to the MRC Integrated Epidemiology Unit based at Population Health Sciences.
