•  The University has a number of high-spec, technically supported, state-of-the-art facilities that are available for use by external researchers and by businesses.
•  The Faculty of Engineering's world-class facilities are open to external researchers across the engineering disciplines and international industry.
• The Interface Analysis Centre has a wide range of analytical equipment for conducting surface, materials and solution analysis.
• The Quantum Technologies Innovation Centre (QTIC) offers two high specification laboratories, a flexible laboratory space, office space and specialist technical advice for emerging technology businesses.

Engine Shed

Engine Shed is an enterprise hub with a range of spaces made for collaboration including individual hot-desking, coworking, private offices, meeting rooms and event spaces. The space has a Members’ Lounge for individual bookings or informal groups. It is accessible on a pay-as-you-go basis.

University buildings

The University venues and events team offers a wide choice of rooms, lecture theatres and exhibition spaces to accommodate small meetings and large events of up to 800 delegates.

Residential Events

Residential events offer group accommodation for conferences and workshops.

Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus

The Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus is currently in construction in the heart of the Bristol Temple Quarter development. Scheduled to open in 2026, the campus will co-locate students, researchers and enterprise partners in outstanding facilities that will enhance our collective strengths across research, innovation, learning, and collaboration. The main academic building will be home to 2,500m² enterprise space, including labs for the Quantum Technologies Innovation Centre and a further 1,300m² for partners and their staff. Ideas and projects will be conceived in a range of tailored, dedicated facilities including a Design Thinking Suite, Executive Presentation Suite and partners will have access to the Design Factory.
