The School for Policy Studies aims to link policy and practice, theory and action, and brings together the academic excellence and policy expertise of around 62 academic staff in four specialist research centres. The School was involved in the establishment of the Water and Health Research Centre concentrating on water governance issues.

Dave Gordon is the Director of the Townsend Centre for International Poverty Research. He is contributing his considerable expertise in the area of poverty and health in global contexts.
