From November 2011 a global selection of Early Adopter organisations are integrating the Aquatest system into their water quality monitoring and management activities for a period of approximately six months. The pilots are taking place via 17 organisations in 16 countries.
The three main types of institutions currently involved in water quality testing are Health Surveillance Agencies, Water Providers and International NGOs.
The locations selected cover range of existing technical capacity and professionalism:
Water suppliers: Kenya, Vietnam, Morocco, Sri Lanka, Ecuador, Cambodia, Bolivia, S. Africa, Mozambique, Canada
Health surveillance agencies: Bolivia, S. Africa, Mozambique, Canada
International NGOs and researchers: India, DRC. Somaliland, Bangladesh, Kenya, Ghana
The pilots will integrate the Aquatest system into ongoing surveillance programmes.
